Karina Sladovic was born on April 17, 1965 in Zagreb, where she graduated from Classical secondary school. In 1984 she enrolled in the Art Academy, and graduated in 1989 in Dubravka Babic's class, in the field of GRAPHICS. In 1991 and 1993 she goes to Paris, Cité des Arts, seeking for further perfection in Croatian atelier on the banks of the river Seine.
In 1990 she published her works in "Nagy ilag" magazine, a world-famous magazine as far as painting and literature culture is concerned. The National University Library (NSB) is keeping her drawings and paintings in its collection of graphic art. With women artist Ljerka Kallay, Nives Kavuric Kurtovic and Zdenka Pozaic together she illustrated Milica Maravic's book "Letters of Don Quixote to Dulcinea" 1994. She decorates public areas as well: murals in Ravnice, 1989, the facade of the kindergarten building in Bienicka street, Zagreb,1993. |
